AlienTech have won the Moche LPGO Finals following a convincing 3-0 victory over Hexagone in the title decider.
Held at FIL as part of the Lisboa Games Week festival, the tournament featured the top four teams of the regular Moche LPGO season, who squared off for their cut of a €6,500 (~$7,665) prize pool.
With 17-year-old talent Paulo "pr" Silva acting as a stand-in on the first day of the event, AlienTech booked their spot in the grand final of this double-elimination competition without too much trouble, beating HEXAGONE and k1ck in best-of-one encounters.
With Renato "stadodo" Gonçalves leading the charge, HEXAGONE beat sister team HEXAGONE Cubo and then k1ck in the lower bracket to set up a final against AlienTech, who entered the match with a one-map advantage due to coming from the upper bracket.
The title decider ended up being a one-way street as AlienTech made light work of their opponents and won two maps straight, conceding just seven rounds in the process. This is the second title in just one month for Ricardo "zlynx" Matos's men after winning the 4Gamers event in Porto, which also featured Giants and Sharks.
