Power Gaming have qualified for the overall final at the Nordic WCG qualifier finals in Helsinki.
Playing their first playoffs match since returning from the Finnish army, Power Gaming started as Terrorists on de_inferno where they picked up the pistol round. Not much clicked for the Norwegians in defending the bombsites, as the Finn's kept striking the right place at the right time. At halftime Power Gaming noted an 11-4 lead and would now be looking for five rounds as CT.
In the second half it was Lions to play strong, with Power Gaming struggling as CT. Lions managed to reach 13 rounds, while Power Gaming at the time had 14, but the Power Gaming took two crucial rounds in a row to win 16-13.
But when securing the last round, Power Gaming had made a defuse through a box, which Lions filed a dispute about. The decision was to give Lions the round, resume the match at the score 15-14 with start money $10,000 to both teams. Power Gaming won the round and sealed a 16-14 win.
On de_train Power Gaming got to start on the CT side, starting off winning the pistol round. Power Gaming lost a few rounds to the Norwegians, but always managed to win the following round, putting Lions in economic difficulties. At halftime the Finn's had built up an 11-4 lead and looking at their de_train stats from 2009, things were highly favoured their way.
Lions won the pistol round, but Power Gaming then decided to risk a buy in the second round, dropping weapons to each other, it paid off and Lions once again faced a tough situation with low economics. Lions couldn't pull it off and saw Power Gaming grab the victory at 16-6 to win 2-0 overall and qualify for the overall final.
